This coastal city till today spreads the atmosphere of the glorios belle époque and the last century jet set of the Cote d`Azur, so if you wanna dive in the marine life style of the South, Nice is a nice place to chillax.

Getting lost among the dark and narrow alleyways of Vieux Nice is highlight. It has´t change much since the renaissance and today it´s packed with galleries, vintage shops, restraunstasnd and cafés. Stop by the food market, during summer it´s every day and pick up some fresh food for a picnic or some soaps and linen as a souvenir. There is also a flower market and a flea market happening. The must eat in Nice is of course Socca!

Of course, the reason people come to Nice is to enjoy the beach and the sun. Go for a stroll one the Promenade des Anglaises or relax on the beach (no sand) and enjoy the most beautiful sunset.

The Chapelle de la Miséricorde  is considered one of the finest examples of Baroque religious architecture in France, this extraordinary church is almost too much to absorb in one visit. Plus they are playing classical music which makes everything even more beautiful and atmospheric.

Art lovers might enjoy to pop by the Modern Art Musum or the Mastisse museum and many villages close by hosted famous artist over the last centuries.

I have been in some of the mountain villages around for good dinners and cute markets but I can´t remember where exactly we stopped. But it seemed food outside of Nice has some hidden gems while inside town due to the masses of tourists it´s good, local restaurant is hard find.
